Sri Lankan presidential secretariat staff trained on AI

COLOMBO, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Officials from Sri Lanka's Presidential Secretariat took part in a workshop Sunday on using artificial intelligence (AI) to make public services more productive and efficient, according to the President's Media Division (PMD).

The workshop, titled "AI for Transforming Public Service," aimed to serve as an initial orientation to the digitalization of public services, by raising awareness and preparing officials, while fostering a positive perception of artificial intelligence within the public sector, the PMD said.

Digitizing public services to boost productivity and reduce corruption is a key initiative of the Sri Lankan government.

The government initiated three key digital initiatives in February at the Presidential Secretariat.
