COLOMBO, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Eleven people were killed and around 25 others injured when a bus plunged off a cliff in Kotmale, located in Sri Lanka's Central Province on Sunday morning, police said.
The injured have been admitted to regional hospitals for treatment, and the cause of the accident was yet to be determined, police said.
Police said earlier that eight people were killed and over 30 others were injured in the accident.
Road accidents are frequent in Sri Lanka, with official data showing that buses are often involved.
