CANBERRA -- Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Tuesday that former PM Scott Morrison had been appointed to five additional portfolios secretly during the previous government term.
Albanese said in Canberra that between March 2020 and May 2021, Morrison was appointed to five additional portfolios in addition to his appointment as the head of Prime Minister and Cabinet, including Health, Finance, Home Affairs, Treasury Department, and also the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. COLOMBO -- The central bank of Sri Lanka on Tuesday announced that it has withdrawn the mandatory requirement to convert service export receipts/proceeds into rupees.

DHAKA -- Energy-starved Bangladesh indicated on Tuesday its plan to import crude oil from Russia amid price concerns.
