UK intelligence says MPs could be attacked by Muslim extremists

In the UK, Scotland Yard has warned that a lone Muslim radical could attack any of the 650 MP’s in the country.

Police have said there are already security problems with some politicians, upon whom serious attacks have been threatened.

UK Police intelligence reports have already pointed to a concern on an attack on leader David Cameron, after he decided to dispense with many of his personal-protection officers and has insisted on walking through crowds and travelling without a motorcycle escort.

Senior MI5 security sources have privately said they are worried high-profile individual politicians are at risk of being singled out for a shooting or stabbing attack.

They are especially worried that attacks might be carried out by UK-born Muslim fanatics and have put the threat assessment at severe.
